This privacy policy describes how Fynda protects and makes use of the information you give the company. Fynda operates on this website; www.fynda.co.uk. It is Fynda’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

What type of personal information do we collect?

How long do we keep your personal information for?

Your data may be shared with finance companies and chosen car dealers to obtain an offer of finance or a vehicle for you.

We will act proportionately and responsibly when we process, transfer or disclose your information, and we will act strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Your data may also be shared with other entities within our group of companies to include sharing your data with third parties who provide a service to us or our group.

Where you order a vehicle through a website, we may share your information with Our Group companies and third parties who are involved in the processing of your order and your finance application; the supply of the vehicle to you.

We may from time to time contact you about products and services available from Fynda which we believe may be of interest to you. We may do this by post or by phone unless you have told us in writing not to; and by e-mail, text or other electronic means if you have told us in writing that we can. You can tell us in writing at any time if you change your mind.

We will remain responsible for the way in which we and our group of companies and our agents and sub-contractors use your personal information. However, some of the third parties involved in aspects of your online order, our suppliers will also be data controllers of your personal information, and will process your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. You should obtain and review copies of these privacy policies.

We may also share your personal information with third parties where we are required to do so for legal or regulatory purposes; identity or credit checks, or for the prevention or detection of fraud.

Please note that, other than the third parties listed in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose or sell your personal information to any other third party for marketing purposes.

Where you apply for credit we will tell you, where permitted by law, if a decision is made about you relating to your credit scoring or eligibility for our products or services solely using an automatic decision making process. You can then request a review by us of the decision using other means.

We may use any personal information you provide to us in connection with your Fynda transaction for market research (including participating in surveys), product analysis and development, sales tracking, or to contact you for marketing or promotional purposes. We or Our Group companies may contact you through various media including by telephone or post, and (if you agree) by email, SMS and/or MMS. You may ask us or Our Group companies to stop contacting you for marketing purposes at any time by contacting our Customer Services Department.

Where you have been introduced to us by an introducer, we will inform the introducer about the outcome of your application and whether we have agreed to provide you with the product or service for which you have applied. We may also disclose information about you and your relationship with us throughout the term of that relationship. If you do not wish us to disclose this information, please inform us in writing. We may also disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.

Except in rare cases, we will respond to you within 30 days after we have received this information or, where no such information is required, after we have received your request.

We may not provide you with a copy of your information if this concerns other individuals or we have another lawful reason to withhold that information.

You may also request from us details of the credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies with which we may have carried out searches. Important: Marketing opt out

We may send you information about similar products and services which may be of interest to you, this product information will be sent to you by email. If you do not wish to receive information this way please send an email to customerservices@fynda.co.uk and we will remove you from our records.
